Delivery: what it is and how to run it

Delivery is the model where the restaurant brings the order to the customer's address — either via a marketplace (which charges commission) or via its own channel (QR + online store), where the restaurant keeps the full margin.

Own delivery vs marketplace

On a marketplace you gain reach but pay 20–30% per order and don't keep the customer. With own delivery (online store + your drivers), you set zones and fees and keep the margin and the data.

  • Marketplace: reach, high commission
  • Own: full margin, own the customer
  • Configurable delivery zones and fees

How to run delivery

Good delivery ties the online store to the POS and kitchen (KDS), with delivery zones, estimated time and tracking. Taking orders on your own channel, each order becomes margin instead of commission.

FAQ

Does own delivery have commission?

On your own channel (QR + online store) there's no per-order commission with MyMenuo — unlike marketplaces.

Do I need my own drivers?

You can use your own drivers or third-party logistics; the key is taking the order on your own channel to keep the margin.
